The Admissions Process
We welcome informal enquiries from parents who feel that Limpsfield Grange may be an appropriate school for their daughter. Parents, families and carers are asked to telephone the school to arrange and book a place on one of our regular Open Mornings, conducted by a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
All of our students at Limpsfield Grange have an Education Health and Care Plan or a Statement of Special Educational Needs. Unfortunately we cannot accept admissions applications for students who do not have an EHCP or a Statement of Special Educational Needs.
We advise that parents and prospective students start looking at secondary provision in the Summer Term of Year 5. Usually students have an Annual Review where parents can express a preference for a Special Secondary School. Most students will be admitted via the panel process, where the suitability of each prospective student is matched against provision that a school can provide. These panels take place in November, and parents are informed of decisions via their SEN Case Officers.
Mid-term admissions at other times of the year should be made through your SEN Case Officer.
“I think that had she not attended LGS she would have sunk without trace in a large comprehensive. She achieves and feels valued at LGS. We are immensely thankful for her chance to be a well-adjusted girl.”
We have Open Mornings running throughout the year but places are limited so please contact us well in advance. The Open Mornings start at 11.00am with an introductory talk by Mrs Wild, followed by a tour of the school, and should conclude by 12.30pm. Please note the mornings are for adults only, and it is advisable that your daughter does not attend the event.
We have the following Open Mornings taking place:
Wednesday 3rd May – fully booked
Wednesday 21st June – fully booked (please note this is the Open Morning that was originally planned for Wednesday 5th July)
New dates will be arranged for the Autumn term. We currently have a waiting list for our Open Mornings so please do contact the Office as soon as possible to ensure your place.
